There will also be time set aside for quiet reflection and completing Lorna’s homework. Depending on the weather, you may have the opportunity to practice becoming more spiritual outside in nature, in the way Lorna was taught as a child.

WHAT IS SANCTUARY?

Your workshop with Lorna will take place at Sanctuary, located on the former Kilfane Demesne estate in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. Sanctuary is comprised of two main properties: Kilfane House, a fully restored historic Georgian home (circa 1705 – 1798), and The Glebe.

You may also stay in a third property located behind Kilfane House, a newly renovated stone house called The Caretakers Cottage.

A vast ancient forest surrounds the property which guests can explore freely. This land has been blessed by God.

Accommodation: Sanctuary has a variety of single, double, and shared accommodation across the three properties to suit all guests. We offer traditional style rooms, a cozy cottage at The Glebe, contemporary ensuite rooms in The Caretakers Cottage, and exquisitely restored Georgian bedrooms in Kilfane House with high ceilings and magnificent views.

Meals: Three delicious farm-to-table local meals will be served every day. We take pride that most of our organic ingredients are grown in our own garden.

Sanctuary Gardens and Forest: The estate sits on a vast area of untouched open space, including 11 acres of ancient forest. Guests may freely explore the land during their stay. Enjoy the walled Georgian organic gardens, vibrant ponds, streams, and luscious forestry.

Gardens: Guests can lend a hand in the gardens under the direction of a staff member. Get your hands dirty and feel the energy in the soil.
